As a benefit of membership, HCAF provides agencies with In-Home Aides-Partners in Quality Care, a monthly publication that addresses relevant topics for home health aides. Topics addressed in In-Home Aides-Partners in Quality Care have included stress and burnout, nutrition and food safety, professional boundaries, ulcers and more.
The January 2012 edition addresses quality, about which aides will learn that quality care is:
- Doing the right thing (getting the health care services you need)
- At the right time (when you need them)
- In the right way (using the appropriate test or procedure)
- To achieve the best possible results
Each edition of In-Home Aides-Partners in Quality Care is packed with useful information on the month’s topic as well as a post-test (answer key included) for home health aides so they can earn one hour towards the 12 hours-per-year Medicare requirement!
