HCAF’s Bobby Lolley to Serve on Florida QIO’s Strategic Council

HCAF Executive Director Bobby Lolley has been selected to serve on the FMQAI’s Quality Improvement Organization Strategic Council (QSC). FMQAI is funded by Medicare to be Florida’s Quality Improvement Organization (QIO).

As a member of the 2011-2014 QSC, Bobby will provide guidance and expertise in the initiation and direction of Learning and Action Networks (LANs) to achieve maximum spread of best practices statewide. LANs are mechanisms by which large scale improvement is fostered, studied, adapted and rapidly spread to expand the quality of health care for Medicare beneficiaries in Florida.

The LANs will target reducing hospital-associated infections, health care-acquired conditions, and adverse drug events, as well as improving transitions of care, promoting the use of electronic health records and cardiac prevention.

To accomplish these goals, the QSC is scheduled to meet quarterly throughout the project.

If you would like to submit guidance for the QSC, please email Bobby at blolley@homecarefla.org.
