HCAF Partners with South Florida Healthcare Organizations for Spring Forum on Hospital Readmissions

HCAF is partnering with the South Florida Hospital & Healthcare Association, the South Florida Healthcare Executive Forum and Specialized Nursing Services to host “Readmissions: Understanding the Game of Adapting to Regulations”, a spring educational seminar on March 9 to discuss hospital readmissions and how they impact other providers.

The agenda includes an opening speech with Andria Charlow, a CMS representative who will discuss why and how CMS is addressing issues of improved care transitions as a preventative of avoidable readmissions, as well as incentives in care transition through funding. Afterwards, two panels will discuss an array of related issues. The first panel includes representatives from Healthcare Finance Management Association, Florida Hospital Association and The Joint Commission. The second panel will feature representatives from the following local providers: Miami Jewish Health System, HCAF member Specialized Nursing Services, Imperial Point Medical Center and Independent Living Systems.
