New Workshop Series Aims to Improve Your Agency’s Leadership, Teamwork and Conflict Resolution

HCAF is very excited to announce its partnership with renowned speaker John Spence to present three online workshops focused on leadership, teamwork and conflict resolution. These workshops are geared towards home care administrators and managers, and are now available on HCAF eLearning, HCAF’s online, on-demand education resource, at www.homecarefla.org/learn.

Based on the more than five years of intensive research that John carried out to write his book “Excellence By Design: Leadership” as well as his personal experience working with some of the world’s top leaders in business, government, higher education and the healthcare sector – this program will identify the seven key characteristics of outstanding leaders in a clear, straightforward and practical manner. This program teaches participants the fundamental skills and attitudes necessary to be an effective leader and the tools to implement a successful leadership development action plan for improving those skills. The workbook for this program includes John’s summaries of some of the best leadership books he has ever read and then the chance for you to create your own personal leadership competency model and specific action steps that you must take in order to become more effective and successful leader.

In this workshop John will share with you the six steps necessary for building a true high-performance team. This model has been gleaned from his work with hundreds of companies around the world including such high-performance teams as the United States Navy SEALs. Included in this workshop is a special Harvard article to help you understand high-performance teams at a deeper level. At the end of this workshop you will be challenged to take everything you have learned and apply it directly to the teams you work on in order to significantly improve the performance of everyone on your team.

In this workshop John will share with you the five levels of conflict and how to move effectively through each. You will learn the importance of active listening, I-statements and negotiation in attempting to avert conflict in the workplace. Included with this workshop is a very robust study guide that you can read afterwards to help you better learn and implement the ideas John shares with you in the workshop.
