HCAF Co-Sponsoring State of the Home Care Industry Study

The Home Care Association of Florida is pleased to provide our members with an opportunity to help develop what is expected to be the largest study in the history of home care and hospice on the future of IT/EHR, telehealth/remote patient monitoring, and operational practices.

Co-sponsored by the National Association for Home Care & Hospice, Delta Health Technologies, HealthWyse, the Forum of State Associations and Fazzi Associates, the 2013 State of the Home Care Industry study will include in-depth phone interviews with nearly 1,000 agency leaders. The interviews will focus on current and future practices in the areas of IT, remote monitoring and operations.

Phase I began on Monday, January 14, 2013 with a web-based survey.  The web-based input survey is being used to help guide the development of the questions that will be used in the national survey.  The goal is to ensure that the study developers are asking questions in each of these three categories that you and others in the field would like answered.

Input from this on-line survey will be reviewed by a National Steering Committee in early February as part of their effort to develop the actual survey that will be used with participants.

The deadline for input is midnight, February 1, 2013.

HCAF members are urged to participate in this survey so that we can have an impact on shaping this national study. HCAF members will be among the first in the country to receive three complimentary study reports upon completion as well as free webinars. (April- EHR/IT, May- Telehealth/Remote Monitoring, June- Operational practices)

Thank you in advance for your participation!
