In preparation of the nationwide ICD-10 implementation date of October 1, 2014, the Agency for Health Care Administration, along with its fiscal agent, HP Enterprise Services, invites home care providers to participate in a series of short ICD-10 surveys. Your participation will help AHCA better understand your concerns and needs as the Agency works toward a successful implementation.
Florida Medicaid is preparing for the mandated transition to the ICD-10 diagnosis code set. An impact assessment for Medicaid as a payer has been completed and work is underway to transition the current diagnosis codes in Florida Medicaid policy and the claims processing system to ICD-10. This transition cannot be successful unless Medicaid partners are ready to use the new codes on October 1, 2014. As Medicaid diagnosis code changes are finalized, helpful ICD-10 documents and training materials will be posted to AHCA’s public web portal.
